I'm a mommy on a mission...get that body back! {and C25k Week 2 update}

So it's time for my weekly weight loss post! I have decided to link up my weekly post with my friend Abbey who blogs over at Life as a Lake. Abbey is a mama of 4 little ones, and actually from my home town in California where she still lives with her gorgeous family! We had met at a mommy group play date back when we were both new moms, but reconnected in the blogsphere when I happened to stumble upon her blog, living 3,000 miles away in SC :) Small world!

Anyway, she hosts a weekly link up called Mommies on a Mission...and it's about loosing it after baby!

 
So here are my stats...
Weeks Postpartum: 8
Last Week's (and starting) Weight: 147
Current Weight: 144
Goal Weight: 130
 
So yes folks, that is weight loss of 3 pounds! Yay! And 14 more to go!
 
I have been doing the Couch to 5k program and am currently half way through Week 2. I feel great now that I have gotten back into running. Getting that time to myself is also very refreshing. I look forward to my 30 minute workouts where I get some alone time, to be in my own head without any outside noise for a moment :)
As you can imagine, I am SUPER stoked about a 3 pound weight loss in one week! I think what I give credit to more than anything is my eating...I have really been conscious of what choices I am making when it comes to meals. Every morning I have been eating either Greek yogurt with fresh fruit, or old fashioned oats with nuts and dried cranberries. For lunch I make a giant salad, and top it with either fresh avocado or tuna, or both! For snacks I have protein bars (like Cliff or Luna bars) or a chocolate protein shake. Then dinner is free game...I just watch my portions. I haven't been hungry, and my milk supply is as strong as ever. I would be lying if I said I wasn't having any cravings...ice cream and chocolate seem to scream my name...but I'm serious about this, and I have to ignore those pesky temptations!
So I'll see you next Thursday with my Mommies on a Mission update :) But I hope to get back to you before that with some updates about my precious fam bam! See you soon!

amazing job, angela!! 3 pounds in one week - awesome! your food choices sound great - i LOVE avocado - it really makes anything taste better...and it's so good for you! glad to hear you're doing well! sending love and wishing you and your beautiful family a wonderful weekend! xoxox
